The Eurasian lynxes are among the public's favorites at Langenberg Wildlife Park. However, these magnificent big cats are endangered in the wild. By rearing young animals that can be released into the wild, the Wildnispark Zurich Foundation is working with other nature conservation organizations to save the wild lynxes in Western Europe from extinction.

Anyone who would like to find out more about this topic will have the opportunity to do so on the "Lynx and Dragonfly" wilderness day, which takes place on June 16 at Langenberg Wildlife Park. The lecture "The lynx in Europe - breeding and reintroduction" by Martin Kilchenmann, Head of Animals at the Wildnispark Zurich and Kristina Vogt from the KORA Foundation is one of the highlights of the event. It takes place in all weathers and has something to offer the whole family from 13:30 to 16:30.

Guided tours, games and information stands

Other attractions include A special themed stand on dragonflies, a short safari on bison, the Pro Natura mobile on the polecat, the animal of the year 2024, as well as information stands on wolves, bears, red deer and bison.

Zürcher Kantonalbank - the main sponsor of the Wildnispark Zurich - will also be present with its popular skittles game. There is real, fair gold to be won.
