Elks in Langenberg look forward to Christmas trees

"Every year again, ..." begins a well-known Christmas carol. This phrase also applies to the moose in the Zurich Langenberg Wilderness Park. At the beginning of winter, the large deer switch their diet from deciduous trees to conifers. The unsold Christmas trees are very welcome.

Winter peace returns to the Sihlwald forest

Enjoy the Sihlwald Visitor Center one last time before the end of the season on Sunday, 29 October: Hot chestnuts, the Schwyzerörgeli trio "Echo vom Sihlwald" and a craft table make the end of winter a special day. Admission to the Nature Museum is free on this day.

First success in the resettlement of the edentulous gastropod molluscs

One year after the mini snails moved to the Sihlwald, it is clear that the endangered animals have managed to survive in their new habitat. This is positive news for the Zurich Wilderness Park, as the animals fit perfectly into the Sihlwald natural forest.

Round two in the fight against neophytes

Recently, employees of the Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation cleared the area around the old Sihlbrugg railroad station of invasive neophytes for the second time. The campaign was carried out together with numerous volunteers and various partners. The area infested by problem plants has not increased in size compared to the previous year - which can be seen as a success.

Brief information on red deer, wolves and brown bears will provide exciting moments on Sunday, May 21 in Langenberg. Safety interventions implemented close to nature

On April 4, the Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation trimmed dry trees and branches along the Sihl riverside path. This safety intervention was carried out as close to nature as possible.

A train carriage full of wild animals and pristine nature

From Monday, April 3, even the journey to Zurich Wilderness Park will be an unforgettable experience: Zürcher Kantonalbank, Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn SZU and the Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation have joined forces to transform a train carriage into a pristine forest full of wild animals.
