What's whistling in Sihlwald?

The Sihlwald Wilderness Park in Zurich is a park of national importance. On Sunday, April 24, the "Bird Wilderness Day" offers the opportunity to learn more about the bird life in Sihlwald.

Current insights into the Zurich Wilderness Park

This year's issue of Wildnis magazine has been published!

Off into a wild season with new attractions

On Sunday, March 27, the doors of the nature museum, the visitor center and the restaurant in Sihlwald will open. A new "search for clues" with a walk-in squirrel cage and special guided tours ensure a varied day for the whole family.

"O Christmas tree" for the moose in Langenberg

Soon the moose will be doing particularly well again: every year after Christmas, hundreds of unsold Christmas trees become a feast for the animals - a sustainable and successful win-win idea with a long-standing tradition.

With hiking boots to the movies

Nature, culture and culinary delights. An excursion to the Sihlwald Nature Discovery Park has a lot to offer, and sometimes a trip to the Sihl Valley is even Oscar worthy! The popular ten-day "Sihlwald Cinema" starts at the end of August.

Annual Report 2020: Rush of visitors to the Zurich Wilderness Park

The 2020 pandemic year led to a rush of visitors to Zurich Wilderness Park.
At times, there were twice as many visitors to Sihlwald as in normal years. Langenberg Zoo also achieved pleasingly high visitor numbers, despite having to remain closed for three months.

Good news: new additions to the Zurich Wilderness Park

A trip to Langenberg Zoo is particularly worthwhile at the moment. Young animals can now be observed in many animal species. Particularly pleasing: after 10 years, young lynx have once again been born in Zurich Wildlife Park - thanks to a new pair of lynx.
Event tip: On June 27, the "Young Animals" wilderness day will take place at Langenberg Zoo.

Spring awakening at the visitor center in Sihlwald

A few days ago, visitors were once again welcomed to the Sihlwald Nature Museum. The current exhibition "WaldWildnisWir" makes the wild Sihlwald tangible and thus creates an understanding of unique habitats. These can be discovered with all the senses right outside the museum doors.

Temporary reopening of the Sihlwald campsite

The collaboration has proven its worth: The "Verein Camping Sihlwald" and the Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation are ready for the next step. The interim use of the Sihlwald campsite will start on a contractual basis just in time for the start of the season. Guests are welcome from April.

Langenberg Zoo finally open again!

Next Monday, Langenberg Wildlife Park will reopen its gates to the public. The wildlife park team is very much looking forward to welcoming visitors again from March 1. The extensive grounds offer good conditions for a safe recreational outing. The restaurant in Langenberg will be selling take-away food and drinks when the weather is fine. The offers for school classes can also take place again.
