Adventure and experience are the focus of this year's Wilderness Park Festival on Sunday, September 21. All activities except the "Wild Boar Express" and refreshments are free of charge.
The well-known Zurich children's song band "Silberbüx" will take guests young and old on a "robber hunt" at 1.30 and 3.30 pm. The two robber concerts with songs from their latest CD take place in the pavilion at the visitor center in Sihlwald.
The stories by Federica de Cesco, who will be reading from her two young adult novels about Shana, the wolf girl, at the Zurich Langenberg Wilderness Park, promise a literary adventure. The 30-minute readings start at 11 am, 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm.
And if you want, you can let our make-up artists transform you into a wolf girl or a wolf boy afterwards and howl with the wolf pack in Langenberg.
The daring and adventurous can delve even deeper into the wilderness with the "Wild Boar Express". From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., carriages shuttle back and forth between the edge of the forest and the Langrainhütte in the middle of the Sihlwald natural forest.
At the Langrainhütte in the Sihlwald forest, hungry visitors can enjoy a juicy wild boar from the barbecue - and for younger guests there are exciting stories and "Märli" from Jürg Steigmeier.
And also: information on ibex and otter, stilt walking at the elk house, "Wilderness for in between" at the fire cave, wild animal quiz at the Mongolian yurt, wilderness playground, exhibition "Cave dwellers - animals in hiding" and forest adventure trail.
