New tenant for the Langenberg restaurant from 2024

The Langenberg restaurant will soon have a new tenant: Zoo Restaurants GmbH will take over the popular excursion restaurant at Langenberg Zoo in Langnau am Albis from mid-February 2024.

Zoo Restaurants GmbH has been running the catering operations at Zurich Zoo for 24 years. "We are delighted about the new partnership," explains Karin Hindenlang Clerc, Managing Director of the Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation. "Zoo Restaurants GmbH has extensive experience in excursion catering and has high standards in terms of sustainability. This convinced us in the selection process."

After a short renovation break at the beginning of 2024, Restaurant Langenberg will continue to operate as a self-service restaurant, and the hotel will also remain open. Marcel Ritter, Managing Director of Zoo Restaurants GmbH, is looking forward to the future collaboration with Zurich Wildlife Park: "Langenberg Zoo is a wonderful place. A visit to the restaurant is simply part of it and makes the trip complete. A sustainable offer is important to us." Zoo Restaurants GmbH attaches great importance to meeting the culinary needs of families in particular. In addition, the catering offer for groups who book a guided tour of the zoo or Sihlwald is to be expanded.

The seasonal restaurant in Sihlwald is currently open at weekends and is scheduled to close its doors at the end of October 2023. The Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation will refrain from operating a regular restaurant in Sihlwald from 2024 for the time being. However, it will continue to offer visitors to the area catering facilities.

The current landlords, Remo and Mischelle Eschle, will remain at the Zurich Wilderness Park until the end of 2023. They have been running the restaurants in Langenberg Zoo and Sihlwald with dedication for nine years and are now moving on. The Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their great commitment.
