Read moreMysterious insights through the back door of the museum
A fun and interesting program awaits visitors to the Zurich Wilderness Park on 17 May 2015 at the "Open Day" on the grounds of the visitor center in Sihlwald. This is already the third "Wilderness Day" this year, a new series of events at Zurich Wilderness Park that focuses on observing, experiencing and trying things out. On the "Open Day", you will gain insights that would otherwise remain hidden from the public. On short guided tours through the exhibition "Well or ill. There's a herb for everything", you can also take a look behind the scenes of the nature museum. We humans have always used all kinds of plants for a variety of purposes. Whether in cough drops or herbal salt, in soap or ointment - there seems to be an herb for everything.
A piece of meadow for the balcony
You can explore the question of what grows and lives in the meadow at the "Nature is nearby" stand in front of the visitor center. Here you have the opportunity to get to know a meadow and some of its inhabitants, including the field cricket, at eye level and even plant a small piece of meadow for your balcony. You can also help to create an impressive ground painting from natural materials in a creative joint project. Our young guests can create an imaginative "LandArt card for the trouser pocket" and take it home with them. All activities and admission to the Nature Museum are free on this day. Last but not least, take a look through the open door of the Sihlwald restaurant.
