Interim solution for the operation of the Sihlwald campsite in sight

The representatives of the Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation have met with representatives of "IG Camping Sihlwald" for an amicable discussion. It is clear to both parties that the existing contract for the camping site will expire at the end of the 2020 season and that a new concept for overnight stays in the Sihlwald Nature Discovery Park should be developed.

The two parties have agreed that interim use should be sought for the operation of the campsite until a new site concept and the corresponding financing are available. Both the Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation and the "IG Camping Sihlwald" are aware that the safety of the infrastructure and properties on the entire site must be guaranteed at all times. To this end, further clarifications must be made, which the parties will arrange jointly.

It is planned that "IG Camping Sihlwald" will take over the operation of the campsite from the coming 2021 season until the new concept has been developed and implemented. The representatives of "IG Camping Sihlwald" and the Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation are in agreement that a good solution is possible for the transitional period and that joint discussions should be continued.
