"CityNature Adventure" in the Zurich Wilderness Park

"Abenteuer StadtNatur" takes place as part of the International Day of Biodiversity. We are delighted to be able to present you with a colorful and varied program in the Zurich Wilderness Park: On Saturday, May 21, young and old are invited to the Langenberg. The highlights: Children from kindergarten age slip into the role of wild animals and learn more about their behavior. On an interactive guided tour, adults can experience at first hand how lynxes locate the quietest sounds with pinpoint accuracy thanks to the unique "brushes" on their ears. We will tell you exciting facts about our wild animals in an unusual way and ensure that the day will be one to remember.

On Sunday, May 22, we invite you to the visitor center in Sihlwald, where you can learn more about edible neophytes. While enjoying a glass of syrup - also made from neophytes, of course - you can taste one or two delicious crackers made from Japanese knotweed. You will also find out why otters feel so at home in the water. Short guided tours of the dipper, grey wagtail and kingfisher as well as the current exhibition in the Nature Museum round off the program.

• 13.30 - 14.00 Interactive short guided tour "Brush on lynx"
• 2 / 3 / 4 p.m. Animal! Playfully experience animal behavior (20 min.)
• 14.30 / 15.30 Short information "Wild boar" (20 min.)

Around the clock: Observe 19 wild animal species on your own in near-natural enclosures

• 13.15 - 17.15 Otter - a marten in its element (at the otter enclosure, only in dry weather)
• 13.00 - 16.30 "Edible neophytes" stand at the visitor center
• 14.00 - 14.30 Short guided tour of the "Good or Evil" exhibition in the Nature Museum
• 13.30 / 14.30 Short guided tour "Weird birds on the Sihl"
• 15.00 - 15.30 Short guided tour of the "Secret Conquerors" exhibition at the Nature Museum
