Read moreAnnual program: Meet the wild animals at eye level
"The greatness and moral progress of a nation can be measured by the way it treats its animals." This quote from Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is the motto of the Zurich Wilderness Park for the current year. The current annual program therefore offers numerous opportunities to meet the wild animals in the Zurich Wilderness Park and learn more about them. The personal experience with all the senses - seeing, hearing and smelling - creates an understanding of the animals' needs and for the protection of their natural habitats.
New experiences: Wilderness days
Observing, experiencing and trying things out are at the forefront of the Wilderness Days. The program includes exciting information, exciting excursions and guided tours as well as playful insights into the world of animals and plants, each on a very specific topic relating to forests, wilderness and wild animals. All events are free of charge and are suitable for adults and children.

New insights: morning excursion and evening excursion
Wild animals outside our grounds are the focus of two guided excursions. On Sunday, April 12, follow the calls of our songbirds in the Langenberg. On Friday, September 4, set off on the trail of native nocturnal predators in the Sihlwald forest.
New challenge: Tracking for clever Sihlwald detectives
After the great success of last year's treasure hunt, clever Sihlwald detectives are needed for the coming season. Someone has stolen the fresh trout from the kitchen in the Sihlwald restaurant. The chef is faced with a mystery. Who could be the culprit? Become a Sihlwald detective and search for clues. At the visitor center (open from March 21 to November 1) you will receive a map that will lead you to the crime scenes.
New exhibition: There's a herb for everything
Herbs are the theme of the new special exhibition at the Nature Museum in the Zurich Wilderness Park in Sihlwald. Exciting stories, colorful rooms and fine smells take you into the world of herbs. Vernissage: March 22.
New music: Schtärneföifi at the wilderness park festival
"Heicho, heicho, heicho, heicho very quickly - heicho, eis ad Ohre und dänn ohni Znacht is Bett ..." Who can't sing along to this children's earworm? At the Wildnispark Festival 2015, you - and especially your children - can experience the band behind it live. Schtärneföifi will be playing two concerts in the pavilion at the visitor center in Sihlwald, continuing the popular tradition of children's concerts in Sihlwald. Date: September 20.
