20. May 2014

Venture out on your own or accompanied by our safari guides on a tour of the beauty and fascination of the local wilderness. At the visitor centers in Sihlwald and Langenberg between 12 noon and 4 p.m., you will meet researchers in nature laboratories who will be happy to explain amazing, exciting and unexpected facts about our flora and fauna. There are mushrooms, flowery stories, birds on the Sihl and in the Sihl forest, weasels & co, moose, ancient horses and traditions and much more to experience. You can also sample a "Sihl & Forest" risotto or "Forest & Field" at the syrup bar.

For the first time, the program includes live animal feedings by the keepers of the Zurich Wilderness Park. Observe the table manners of otters at 1 p.m. (otter enclosure in Sihlwald) and the hunger of our brown bears at 3 p.m. (bear enclosure in Langenberg). The well-known wolf researcher Ralph Manz will report on the situation of wolves in Switzerland in his lecture on Saturday at 4 pm in Sihlwald. And on both days, safari guides will take you on the newly designed forest adventure trail - bringing young and old guests into contact with the Sihlwald natural forest in a variety of ways, from head to toe.

All activities on the wilderness safari are free of charge (excluding food) and suitable for the whole family. Further information can be found at www.wildnispark.ch

Detailed program for Saturday and Sunday can be found as pdf in the attachment.
