Our philosophy
The mission statement of the Wildnispark Zurich Foundation stipulates the fundamental objectives and values that are applicable to all employees. By thinking and acting in accordance with our philosophy, all our employees contribute to the success of the Wildnispark Zurich.

Our mission
Natural forest and wildlife
- We represent a unique combination of natural forest, wilderness and wildlife.
- We allow nature the space and time to develop freely in the Sihlwald.
- Native wild animals are kept in species-appropriate and near-natural habitats.
- We are committed to protecting landscapes and wildlife in its natural environment.
Education and research
- We are the competence centre for wilderness and observe, research and provide education on the rhythms of nature.
- We foster the relationship between man and nature and convey a holistic, sustainable approach to the natural environment.
Discovery and recreation
- We offer our visitors the opportunity to discover wilderness for themselves within the greater Zurich area and be amazed and inspired by it.
- Our visitors can relax amid the extraordinary natural landscape of the Sihlwald and the banks of the River Sihl as well as through encounters with wild animals on the Langenberg.
